One of Paul Klipsch's patents kind of revolves around this with the cornerhorn.Also surprised that people would point the horn at a corner and listen to it's reflection--you learn something every day here.....
Actually, quite a few speaker companies incorporated room reflection in various forms into their design goals, others tried to design it "out" of the presentation.
One of the marketing highlights of the model 14 was that the geometry and polar response of the horn was such that "first reflection" HF program material arrives well behind the listener in an ideal room/set-up. While not at all part of the recipe for the intended listener, room reflections were surely a consideration in the design.
I was in the coal mine area of Kentucky once...It's a place you won't soon forget. It was exciting to see.
